Folks, we need to stop shielding perpetrators…. we need to develop ways to address and stop perpetration.Stop saying that is a matter is he said/she said , or he said / he said or she said / she said and nothing should be done – until someone is raped , similarly abused, or dead.
The soul of the perpetrator yearns to be stopped, and untreated – abuse only escalates.
And I’m not talking about calling cops (although that might be the only option at times )
I am talking about a measured community response takes no side but the side of love and healing . A response that shelters the abused , facilitates the healing of the abuser and allows restitution of losses.
A species that can fly to the moon and create the internet can surely do this …
