from NBC News America Shrugs off NFL scandal
Ah, the USA!
The majority of American object to how the head of the NFL has handled the issue of domestic violence… However they dont plan to let that get in the way of their watching the games…
So… do you think that there is going to b any substantial change in policy? Don’t hold your breath…
You know – I think that I would take just one Sunday, one Sunday..no one watch the NFL not on TV, nor radio, just say no – ONE SUNDAY!
The resulting hit to their pockets book would be astounding! And and then we might just see how high they jump! I bet the owners would be SKYPING pretty darned quick – and magically some actual change pf policy might have taken place..
For the record -I dont support being punitive – I support treatment for abuser and the abused. I support protection for vulnerable persons, be they women, abused men, or children. I support not protecting and making heros of sick people and allowing them to endanger the lives of others – ever…
And I am disgusted with the message that this is sending to abused partners of NFL players, the message from their fellow citizens is clearly that their entertainment is more important than the life of the abused… And this is the sickest thing of all…
