Here is the challenge:
To not be satisfied to attend seminars and workshops on racism, wring your hands , cry guilty tears and them make a solemn oath to be an ally…
The reality of being an ally is how you handle the moment when: a women,or a person of color, a person with a disability, a child, immigrant, etc, looks at you and says that what you have done or said is racist, sexist, agist, etc.
How you handle that moment – is all that matters.
All the rest is masturbatory self delusion…. and allows you to continue to be part of the problem.
